Show Me the Way

This cool still morn, roosters' silence Catches the attention Short lived their quiet but heavy The air's apprehension The apricot sunrise restores Joy to the jam colored sky Birds chirp so happily 'tis spring As time's stillness slips by Apricot liquid coats pine trees Sticky color surrounds Dark silhouettes with raised strong limbs Offer praise and astound Thank you God for one more sunrise The offer of a day Help me use it with gratitude Show me the correct way In honor of Poet Destroyer's Contest....

Sounds like you have some nice and very peaceful mornings where you live. I live ion New York's Lower East Side which has a lot of fascinating history but mornings here are not at all the tranquil scene you describe so well in your work. I like to start off each day with a cup of hot green tea. And you? Peace & Love Matthew Anish
