Shooting Star
Admiring one another from afar
Your fantasy inspired my light to shine
You were the moon, I was a shooting star
Recalling now when paths of ours entwined
I danced with your reflection on the tides
Played hide and seek with shadows in the trees
You looked my way as I came passing by
To flash a smile at me seductively
It saddens me to think how few our days
My love for you I'll keep for times of doubt
I'm grateful that we met along the way
Once old stars flash, how quickly they burn out
If future stars should pass this way again
Remember when we laughed and danced as friends
