Why, every ten year old wishes to be acknowledged as an adult Why, in a bold young man or in a sexy young woman, there be no fault Yet, bitter is the taste of reality Adulthood is nothing else than a monstrosity Why, life as an adult does not be made of freedom Always does one have to be protective of one's name Always does one have to live in memories Even does one have to wonder about how life does be a sick game Enemies do lie in wait, either out of jealousy or out of hatred Friends and lovers do change their faces, so much that one is constantly cheated Close ones do leave for heaven With or without love, life does seem to be a burden Work and duty does fill up most of our time We do have to steal time, should we want to pen down a rhyme Worries fill us up, worries of old age and the insecure future Why, for me, life as an adult, does be like a most daring adventure!
