She
SHE
All packed and ready, she glanced at her watch
Just some more minutes and she would depart
Her face ashen pale, her heart was heavy
Her lips quivered, her gait was so weary
The blank walls stared at her the room so bare
For years it had been tended with good care
She moved towards the exit with a sigh
Wiped a tear that rolled down from her left eye
Cold winds lashed at her the sky a dull grey
Her teeth chattered her nerves in disarray
Was this now her world, in horror she cringed
Freed at last yet her mindl still imprisoned
