Serpentine
Serpents under blue light
Vitality estranged
I lay across an angel
But this is all the same
Regard my careful feelings
As words that don’t exist
But if you find them stalking
Run before we kiss
Serpents guard my patience
Lust holds up my face
I walk beneath a rainbow
But only for the taste
Remember your deception
Place it over me
Filter out my scheming
There’s nothing much to see
Serpents in the twilight
Serpents in the rain
A snake summons your weakness
And leads me to your pain
Serpents intertwining
A serpent calls your name
Take one step and follow
Well this is all the same
