Sentient

i remember standing there on the deck the sun hadn't even started to yawn across the sky yet there were splashes of amber against the ebony backdrop of night mingled with stars i felt like i could see forever and thought i saw it in your eyes as you held me close i didn't want to lose that moment or see day begin and night end but with every end is a beginning and every beginning has an end somewhere in time even something as beautiful as that or this can be replaced but never erased from memory of mind every moment rises like every morning's sun sometimes it's beautiful sometimes it rains i can taste it in the rain as a string of yesterdays cloud my thoughts and i close my eyes resurrect us again and see forever momentarily VERSE A FAVOURED THEME any form Poetry Contest Sponsored by Brian Strand

hey, are you on your cell phone when you are here? Is that why you don't see the pictures I have with my poems? was wondering about that. Because you said at my last poem that you did not see the picture. Let me know if you can see it at a computer. You have me worried!!!

no i don't comment from my cell phone, only time i ever go on through my cell is to read a response, i do everything through my computer...looked again and where the picture should be it just shows a camera...

I was about to make a comment, but I think Andrea took the words right from my mouth, with little more to add. To find the beauty in the simple is wonderful to me, and I love to read your inner mesh of feelings, nostalgia, and scenery all blend into something we like to call .... poetry! Well done, indeed.

my feelings seem to control my muse but she usually appears more in my emotional times... hugs

gosh, even down to the last line: see forever momentarily, this is constructed with finesse. I love the contrasts and how you use uncomplicated words to produce amazing imagery. that is your trademark!

You had me with "the sun hadn't even started to yawn across the sky". Love the sense of intoxication with the moment.

thank you....i remember those moments as if they were this morning, sometimes savoring a moment brings back the beauty experienced at that time to uplift a more dismal moment...hugs
