Semantic Intolerance

I remember this word, when it was a veritable curse; It spoke of actions, beliefs, feelings and ideas that were reprehensible and indefensible, only worthy of our condemnation I remember when it was a vile and shameful descriptor; It was synonymous for ignorance, hate, injustice, inhumanity It was abhorrent, it was unforgivable, it was.....intolerable Intolerance..... what has become of you?
