See Me Thine

Set me not on a marble pedestal, to be fawned over as a rare find. Stand me down by thy right side, neither above, below nor behind. Whisper not sweet endearments mine, but of thy life's dreams and goals. That I might offer my shoulder to thy wheel, to lessen thy yoke load. Hold close to me with thine arms, yet closer still with thy life. Give not to me fine silks and jewels, but a place by thy side as wife. Lie close to me with thy heart, yet closer with each breath exhaled. Look not upon me as a silver spoon, but as a ladel at thy well. Placement: 1st
