Seasons
Another autumn past
dappled leaves pirouette upon the wind
spin upon the currents
where the rivers torrents round the bend
The blueberries foliage
take on their raspberry vesture
in explosions of color
to bestow joy in the seasons gesture
the glacial ice
encases the sprouts upon the ground
the gates of winter
fall on all that can be found
Spent my summer
with heartbeats under the waxing sun
upon the mountains trails
where the deer and raccoon’s run
When february comes
the croaks of mating frogs upon the pond
each seasons joy
to my memories will lay its bond
Spent too much time
upon the things man has designed
ever my heart rests
it’s gladness in what is nature’s find
I’ll visit gardens
each season to view what will bloom
I’ll take my pleasure
in what is furnished within it’s room
And in the forte night
where the moon tides wax and wane
I’ll seek the things
that the thoughts of man profane
