Seasons

There it is off in the distance just the faintest hint of leaves changing color. A single tree, an oak perhaps with just a glimmer of orange high at its peak or is that glowing reflections of the sun? Some trees are brown, brittle and dry and barely having leaves at all, withered from the heat and blowing down to the ground. A fall heatwave uncomfortable afternoon deceiving us into believing the season is changed though the calendar shows differently. The weeks of dying fruit and blooms tell of the changes coming giving way to what comes next. Life moves forward on schedule.
