Sea of Regrets

Sitting by the sea, drawing lines on white sand Knowing someday, waves would grace my past Ripples of my heart, blurring reflections of guilt As the past surged by, like a raging river I wish time and tide could cease Perhaps the stench of this creek, might set me free From the droplets of rainy tears Sedimenting impurities on this fountain of love Sailing on nemesis, without trusted oars Flipping through verses to rinse my flaws Knowing someday, waves would grace my past Sitting by the sea, drawing lines on white sand
