The rutabaga was a large tough one..I thought that I was going to have to get a machete' to cut it up..I was looking for a way to use the thoughts that were going through my head while trying to prepare it..Sara
Rutabaga cooks On range emitting strong scent After chopped by sharp hachet Done rutabaga Served on plate with slotted spoon They enjoyed _not very much!

No Sara I actually heard it First time.I never heard of this dish before. In my Midnight Bell haiku, the short hand was completely covered by the big hand of the clock. As it was 12 midnight.

An interesting subject for the contest, Sara...I must admit that rutabaga is not one of my favorites (I much prefer turnips or beets or almost any other root vegetable.) But you have done well and I wish you luck with your entry.
