Rough Around the Edges
When God made him, he threw away the mold
Always thinks outside of the box, does not fit a profile
Always thinks positive, hard to get him down
Does not talk much, but always has something to say
Has a mind of his own, tries to always have a smile
Knows that it takes more muscles to frown
Tries to walk a straight line, but to the beat of his own drum
He is not a rebel or a fanatic, but a little different
He knows the pen is more mighty than the sword
Looking forward to tomorrow, as it yet to come
Cause yesterday, has come and went
And always believes in The Good Lord
Believe in a helping hand, not a hand out
In honest talking and common sense
To him, "ONE NATION UNDER GOD", is this great land
Very simple, "If you do not love it, get out
Never let your guard down and a good defense
"When you sign on with a outfit, you ride for the brand"
In freedom of speech, not told what you can say
In the constitution, that is our back bone
Not being a robot, but being his own man
The right to pray anywhere, before they take that away
God is our foundation, so leave him alone
A little rough around the edges, BUT A PROUD AMERICAN
