Rising Sun

Rising Sun
Have you ever sat beside the sea, Watching the sun rise from the east Above the blue horizon? As our beautiful golden sun emerges, A welcoming blue sky smiles, The turquoise sea grins; And slowly wandering waves Begin to roll toward an expectant shore.
Life-giving warm sunshine, Lightens up our otherwise grey world, A world that’s always full of strife, A world that can't survive without sunlight. We walk, we trot, we run, Throughout life, And when all is said and done, The sun sets and says a sweet "good night."

A Beautiful poem, Kika. My bedroom is on the seafront, East facing so I feel these emotions when i wake up every morning. Do not think white sandy beaches and palm trees though, for I live in a town. Still, before the sun even pops its head above the horizon, the promise of it coming is enough as the sky changes colour each second... Thank you for the reminder.

Kika,The sun has been the muse for so many poems, casting its colors in the skies, especially at sunrise and sunset. Your lovely poem reflects that perfectly. Mahalo for your comment on my poem.
