Rising Sun
Rising Sun
Have you ever sat beside the sea,
Watching the sun rise from the east
Above the blue horizon?
As our beautiful golden sun emerges,
A welcoming blue sky smiles,
The turquoise sea grins;
And slowly wandering waves
Begin to roll toward an expectant shore.
Life-giving warm sunshine,
Lightens up our otherwise grey world,
A world that’s always full of strife,
A world that can't survive without sunlight.
We walk, we trot, we run,
Throughout life,
And when all is said and done,
The sun sets and says a sweet "good night."
