Rhyme Addicted

Dr. Seuss, It’s just no use! I would not could not shake your muse. I am not Sam. I hear no Who. I hop off pop. I hate the zoo. One fish two fish make me blue. I would not could not be a Grinch grow a heart give an inch. I do not like to rhyme like this, but once I start it’s hard to quit! The Lorax will not speak for me. I have no root to hold a tree. But here’s an ax I’ll grind with you: I’ve read your rhyme since I was two and now I follow in your shoe! I do not like to rhyme like this! I started young; I cannot quit. I do not like it, Dr. Seuss! I’d rather rhyme like Mother Goose! May 21, 2016 for Dr. Seuss Contest

I also prefer Mother Goose. Leftovers O circus, circus the ox and his Fergus. The whale took a bite of the moon. The carnivore gasped to see that chomp And the pig civilized the baboon. Cheers, Rita. From a Magnificat reader who loves your work.
