Restoration
I must stay away, I can't come any closer,
It's a matter of respect and the stress it puts me under,
From a distance I can hear without getting involved,
So I seperate myself from it all until I hear you call,
I knew what it would entail, I knew my heart could get in the way,
So I stand at a distance until you find your way,
I can't say I don't love you, I can't say it doesn't hurt,
But I can say in my heart all the love it's worth,
So the tears I cry are not bitter to the taste,
It is the salt of my life I've learned to embrace,
When they fall for the change that I see,
That restoration gives me peace,
