Rescue and Bless This Child
Bless this child,
Bless her baby,
Her faith lingers silently,
Her belief but a maybe.
Speak softly in her ear
Be gentle with your touch,
Her battered soul bleeds so much.
Rescue her empty life,
gather her thoughts,
Shelter her as she begins her fight.
Awaken her spirit!
Cast the demons aside,
Teach her to love you and not to hide.
Nurture her body back to holy and pure,
She is a child of broken flesh,
Your mercy and grace can tenderly cure.
