Repentence
I remember times when nights were like the elegant bride
And days bright like your face and warm like your love
When valleys echoed with the melody of cuckoo bird
And snow clad mountains were head high with pride
When on the blue sky the hue of rainbow clang
When the red roses bloomed and butterfly danced
When seas were serene and waterfalls sang
The spring came with garlands of flowers in hand
Then you parted company never to return.
I remember those cruel moments of pain and anguish
Tormented I was like out of water fish
The sky of life overcast and dark and dreary turn
My naïve heart turned into a desert of despair
The event shattered me like a broken glass
Life was bereft of all its charm and glare
Yet I was breathing, I didn’t die, alas
Repenting after all is lost, is of no avail
Sorrows and grief always leave their trail
The spring comes with garlands of flowers in hands
Then on life the peril of autumn lands.
