Remembrance
Life is so fleeting.
When we were young,
The world was so alive,
And so were we.
When we were young,
Our parents were strong,
And ageless.
When we were young,
Our imaginations soared,
And were part of our lives.
Life is so fleeting.
Now, we are older,
Our parents are older,
The world has turned grey,
And so have we.
Our parents are old and weak,
And must soon leave us.
Now, we are older,
Our imaginations have withered,
As the world beat them out of us.
Life is so fleeting.
