Breathing takes its toll
on broken ribs
a bullet hole
and 2 slices of a knife's edge

He crawls, close to dying
keeps moving towards it,
He's still trying
to keep it together in his head

2 slices of a knife's edge
and he made his bed
But he's still holding it all together
from inside his head

The pain seems a faraway thing
as something else
Takes on a new meaning
This is his blood dance

He finally finds the place
of tranquil healing
Sacred space
And 2 slices of a knife's edge

It's his death and his rebirth
within life's cycles
He finally sees there is no "1st"
Fully aware inside his head

He lets go of the blood hate
as the truth enters in
He lets go of his blood rage
and is granted his Redemption
