Raindrops
Raindrops
Trickling down, quaint
Window-panes a little wet
Swift steps homeward
There’s a shed, let’s stand under it
Raindrops
Enhanced
Lashing your body
Sky turned hazy, treetops in enchanted dance
Lashing your body
An ethereal pair
Sharing a lone umbrella
Lashing your body
A little space; the girl at your side
A whiff of fragrance, her perfume
A hypnotising touch of her loose tresses
The space reduced, her man drawing her nearer to him
The space widened
Raindrops lashing your body
Raindrops
Reducing with the implication of stopping altogether
The sky’s clear, the clouds dispersed
The road lies before you,
The busy footsteps of ant- humanity
Raindrops
Now in your heart
