Purposeful Life - Sentinel

Amidst the roaring waves I live and stand claws bared, waves rise and fall to tear me down; lashing me with chilling force to disband, their perpetual onslaught wants me drown. Screaming tempestuous chill winds storm me buffeting hard to wipe me out of ground, winds and waters join hands to howl and glee with perennially ominous sound. Storm, sound, slush and shock strikes me everyday standing not to fight or be bastion, standing tall, strong, serene I light the way so ships sail safe to their destination. 7-Apr-2016 Contest: Sentinel Quatrain Form Sponsored by: Eve Roper Syllables Per Line: 10
