Purple Passion
Royalty of the purple metaphor,
shall I compare thee to the motor kings?
In Heaven’s choir you sing for evermore,
‘Formerly Known’ in white seraphim wings.
The world without you is a hungry place,
already auctioning off your dreams
with the posted images of your face,
boosting ratings and greedy tabloid schemes.
Fabulous of music's fraternity,
the brotherhood of guitar, rock and fame
your songs will reign for an eternity,
leaving us purple passion for your pain.
