Prime-School's Out

On the green, teams often numbered seventeen, our jumpers placed as goal posts, such after-school football now a long-lost dream.

So much time spent playing, it's a wonder we tend to forget how huge play factored in our lives as children. Maybe that's why we all still play with words, huh? Congratulations on your win in Nigel's PRIME-ary contest. Warm regards, John.

Congratulations Brian! I always had to get home to milk cows and feed the horses, cows, pigs and chickens after school so I never got to experience anything like this. I do love football though..got to see plenty of high school games playing in the band! :-) aahhh those good ole days! Great poem Brian! Trudy

I can see them playing withh all the exuberance and sincerety as only they can at such an age. Lovely and uplifting even with the sad note at the end. Love, Robin
