Priceless Gifts

Priceless gifts, priceless times with those you love, What comes to mind when you think of those two phrases? Is it spending time on cell phones, computer, I pad? If it is, then that's too bad, Because you are truly missing out on very precious times, Hearing the birds sing, a eagle, a hawk soaring above, Fresh cut grass smell, kids playing in the park, mom's pushing their loved ones in the swing, Stopping to see a monarch butterfly flying by, landing on some milkweed plant, just to say hi. Precious gifts come on many shapes and forms, they aren't around too long, take time to play with your children, talk to them, No matter how old they are, they came from you, just because you cut the physical cord at birth, doesn't mean they aren't without your love, your arms around them, they still need your time, your shoulder to cry on. Time is lost, love, teachings, nurturing, hugs are lost, Those things don't cost a cent, yet they are forever heartfelt, Tomorrow isn't promised to anyone, don't wait til another time is free, whatever is keeping you from connecting with your loved ones, it doesn't compare with making your child smile, laugh, giggle, love is forever, money is lost, love your children today, now, take that walk, hold that hand, they will fill your heart to the brim, and that is something that you will never lose, and much more meaningful than a wallet full of money will ever show off..

wise words indeed - my world has changed completely since my hubby was diagnosed with cancer - we were never particularly materialistic but cherish the important things in life and since losing my dad in February it makes you realise just how precious friends and family are and how fragile life is:-( Hugs jan xx 7 xx
