Present But Absent
They say patience is virtue,
but time waits for no man.
I longed for the one in my life,
but he never found me.
Fantasies are for cartoons
and dreams are for the visionary.
I watched cartoons hoping for my fantasies,
I preferred to sleep to see my dreams.
Only to realise I was all alone
I felt lost but yet found
Tangled better yet felt intertwined
to realise I'm in my own mind.
Play but no pause dreams
it played all along like a jukebox
the play station that I had
and only I was able to play it.
Silent for a moment only to hear
the beat of heart through my ribs
fast, slow and sting that's my heart
like the motion of the ocean.
