Prayer For Patience

Dear patience, hold my wetted tongue, And rouse my restless soul to speak; Let not the vipers in my veins Betray the sound of my heart’s beat; Let not this captive loneliness Ensnare the light that dwells within; Cast off the serpents of the night, And let the hope of heaven in.
