Postember

POSTEMBER December Glorious month Good will Hearth-side colors aromas Sound of Jingle Bells carols All the senses taking one back - back when imagination was fertile rooted in In magic and love We – even the godless – cherish the entire month But what when December fades? I say there should be another month Oh not rooted in time – A contemplative month – outside the let-down that is January 2nd Postember When one goes out the window taps the eternal love and joy listening to that inner voice proclaiming – “Nothing is over Here is eternal Christmas in the true sense Linger”

Hi Daver, really enjoyed the comment you left on Sara's poem about the mirage. Guess we both loved "Call of the Wild." As a teen Jack London was one of the few authors who really caught my attention. Love the man vs nature conflicts best. Love, Carolyn

Such unique (yet also a bit sad) musings, Daver and I like how you have a month for it, "Postember"-- you capture so much here -- definitely makes me think-- I hope you have a great week....hugs :)

Your poem describes the "let down" after the holidays so well, Daver. Lingering in an "eternal Christmas" sounds a whole lot better than facing January 2. I've been away for a week fishing off Key West. If you check my blog, you'll see some fish photos. Imagine -- a whole week without TV, radio or internet. It was a dream come true! You should see the fish we caught. I'm sharing it with five families, including Dane Ann's. Love you heaps, Carolyn

You've such a deep soul, Daver. "Postember" sounds like a good add-on month, or at least an extension to the month filled with "love and gaiety". Wistful thoughts and fond memories. Here some have Christmas in July...the mosquitoes must sing, while the people dance? Best wishes! Love, Mikki (soup mail)

"Christmas in JUly." Is there a song like that? If not there should be. The last three lines are poetry, oh talented one. Love, daver
