Politically a Politician

Politically a Politician By Franklin Price 9/6/2015 Politically a politician Comes from the same old place Doesn't matter nationality Social standing creed or race Spouting party politics Trying hard to keep the pace. Telling what it is they'll do for us From both sides of the face When in the deepest of the south Have a pick-up for a toy In Farmland drive a tractor Raise some wheat or maybe soy To leaders of our industry May be verbose or coy Anything that is required To bring out the smiles of joy Be the ones they have to be Say they've walked in every shoe Have morals when they need them For what it is they have to do Forget them if advantageous Tell you stormy skies are blue Promise all that they perceive Will get your vote from you Once in awhile some come along Say they've listened to our call Arising from a different place Have put their names upon the wall Preach their own agendas Have come to stop to end the squall Will fix all of our problems Maybe they're politicians after all

Thanks Kim, I'm glad I hit a cord, but it's really kind of a shame that I did. Come visit again
