Polarized

Once I chased fireflies Borrowing stars from the dark To recall your eyes I drank nectar too From the hibiscus red throat Thought it was your tongue And where jasmines bloom Still I walk there through the night Following your trail My heart turns to sand And your presence was just dew Need you more like rain. But you are winter And I am tree dropping leaves A blanket for ice.
