Poetry and Us
Good poetry resides in all of us
We're of sun, moon, and stardust
Some folks may dispute the good in poetry
Would it stem from those with profanity?
This gift, this poetic gift of life we own
Life in its entirety is poetry and beyond
Those without words or tongue that speak
Simplicity of a smile stretches to poetic feet
What beauty the naked eyes cannot see
The heart overflows with delight, positively
Ears excused from nature sound, and melodies
Who knows what tunes they hum as therapy
The Almighty spoke; hence the birth of poetry
It began with simplicity, it blossomed to profundity
Good poetry and us and all we'll learn
Seem silent language of might; posing no harm
We need not fret, always there'll come a form
Goodoff says stay in tuned with counseling patterns.
