Please Lord

Please Lord help me pray, I stay alive just one more day. The past has been rough and the future unsure, there will be more tough times I will have to endure. With faith and love on my side, I need to give in and no longer hide. Thoughts that I have every single day, most of them are bad and won't go away. My souper friends have tried to help me on my way, I just need to stop resisting and maybe I'll be ok. COLLEEN MARIE BONO

I am praying for you Colleen and though I am young I understand what you are going through everyday I would have the same thoughts I went to a Church Camp and it probably saved my life because I thought about ending my life on Monday the 22nd of this March but they played a movie called Facing the Giants and it helped me a lot it showed that if they had enough faith to leave it all to the Lord then He will take it into His hands. And now I am better so ask Him for help He will hear your plea P.C

Coleen, Did you read this?? Did you hear your own heart speak its truth?? Give in to God's love. I know that I don't fully understand your situation, but please, when you get to that place where there's no where else to go, JESUS -his name alone is a prayer. Believe and you'll see... please read Dane Ann's comments and copy the phone # and keep it with you. We do love you, Colleen. You're in my prayers, also....Peace, Audrey

No Colleen I don't understand. And neither will your daughter or your grandbaby. YOU ARE MORE THAN THIS. Turn your gaze outward. Re-read the soup mail that I sent you. Do something, if it's only one thing, do one thing to help yourself. Deep breathing to bring oxygen to the brain. Jump up & down, skip rope, a rebounder is excellent. Drink more good water, bless your water. Someone suggested singing. oh yes, sing like nobody's listening, dance like nobody's watching, find a way to bring joy-do it

If I may recommend one more poem for you, Colleen, you may be inspired by my three part prose poem, Mom's Malaise. My mother lived with depression all of her life, but found comfort, healing and peace through service. I hope that is helpful for you as you are dealing with yours. This is offered with much love and compassion, Linda

Nice write, Colleen. Do this! When the bad thoughts come. Send them away out loud! And replace them with a hymn. If you don't know one, (I think you probably do) learn one. Singing, even when forced, can clear one's mind. Count your many blessings is a good one. So is Jesus Loves me. Anything. Just sing. You are in our prayers. Lovingly, Dane

Your last line in this hopeful poem, Colleen, in some circles is called surrender...you know the old refrain, "you can lead a horse to water...". The next step is truly yours, and God will bring you the rest of the way to healing. For a good perspective, read Mark Ploskunak's poem featured this week "A Letter to a Friend on the season's change." Bless you dear one. You are more than this. Thank you for your comment on my latest post.
