Planet K Is Cobalt Black

Planet K is Cobalt Black Planet K circles 5 distant suns 5 times every day Spins in and out of orbit of each one in figure 8’s Rotates counter clockwise The only one in this solar system To travel retrograde There is no water on Planet K Not a single drop in sky or ground It is imported from their moon by rockets Planet K is cobalt black and flat No valley, mountain, tree or person there Robots carve images of men and woman out of marble Who died off long ago They use the water to anoint the tombs of fallen ones And pray to them because they died Androids could not be programmed otherwise Man made them in their image To preserve their art, their culture and way of life To survive every condition Including the human one

A surreal image of what could happen one day should we put too much emotions of a human kind into our creations. Reminds me a bit of the little boy staring in Exstant the t.v. series this season. You are very talented my friend.

Hi Connie, Thank you so much for your insightful words of wisdom. I'm not familiar with Extant. I don't watch much TV but I will try to check it out. I'm glad you enjoyed my poem. Have a great day. Take care. Earl
