Piano Girl
her lithe body sways
as she gently plays
sweet melodies
upon the ivory keys
oblivious to the pain
within her heart
softly she plays
until that certain part
where the echoes are loud
and fingers pound with rage
a misunderstood masterpiece
brings applause to the stage
the concert is over
yet she continues to play
exorcising the demons
of yesterday
the songs are familiar
known throughout the world
but no one can play them
like the piano girl............
Inspired by Angelina Taylor, a young gifted poet who loves her piano.....Play on
girl,
play on.
