Photographs
At last I found your album, full
of photographs- you at all ages
glossy pictures on black pages!
All the poses-
some heartbreaking
to look at.
You were sweet,
in pigtails holding an orange cat.
(Oh) here you are upon a horse
and others on your wedding day,
and here I am- within your arms
a new babe born.
There you are dad!
Such a love-
together,
now, beneath soil, names engraved.
