Phone Call
I pick up my phone
press send and send again
I hear your voice
and your words flow out
and into my ears
They reassure me
they calm me down
You are my shelter
Where I run to
when storms are closing in on me
I like your talking
You know just what to say
We can talk for hours
though I know
you hate telephones
you stay for me
and I thank you
and I thank you
You are my shelter
Where I run to
when storms are closing in on me
As our conversation’s ending
I get your goodnight
and your I love you
and now I can
now I can sleep well
my night is complete
You are my shelter
Where I run to
when storms are closing in on me
I love you
I love you
