Philosophy of a generous man

The philosophy of a generous man.

He’d lived his life a generous man
Cause that’s how he was made
There were so many in this world
That He’d helped within his days.
It was nothing personal
His nature was to give
Because he really knew no better
This was how he chose to live.

Yet in this world be many takers
That’s the common thread of things
And most would grab at anything
This gentle man would bring.
And many gathered round this man
And sucked his very soul
And yet he never cared at all
Cause this was just his role.

A counsellor who saw him once
He mentioned to this man
That maybe he should change his ways
And some returns demand.
The man just looked him in the eye
And told him “Have no care
For I be like a great fruit tree
My fruit blows everywhere”.

He said “Yes that be who I am
I scatter me around
My fruit be spread for all to take
To pick up from the ground.
Yet should you be the type that takes
And never gives returns
Then Karma will catch up with you
For the wheel it turns, I’ve learned”.
