Peter's Sorrow

I cried a thousand tears today. My heavy head, it fell in shame. “Father, why?” He wearily prayed, as watchers mocked His holy name. Where do we go from here my friends? I cried a thousand tears today. When will despair come to an end? His body torn, I’ll see always. “It is finished”, I heard Him say. Sure as the rooster crowed, I’m lost. I cried a thousand tears today for Jesus hanging on the cross. Three days from now, I’ll see his face as I repent for sinful ways. My burden’s lovingly erased. I cried a thousand tears today.

Beautiful, sensitive write, Rhonda. I wrote once on the same subject. Oh, but this is much better, in form, content and the kind presentation you've made on Peter's character! I learn each day! I am glad I checked your page...Happy Easter! HUgs! Kim :)

OH....how sweet and precious this is, Rhonda. Peter's tears lead to repentance and genuine sorry, unlike the Judas' tears. Praise God that He is a forgiving God. I think of all the times I have denied him in my own way. His unconditional love is our hope. Hugs
