Pet Mountain
I took my mountain for a walk without a leash
Restraints don't come in gigantic sizes
We strolled along a path near by the beach
A sign stood out, No Pets Allowed
Rock ranges must be controlled according to the code
Ordinances must be obeyed by ridge and peak alike
Mountain climbs and crimes will not be tolerated
The law frowns on large lands masses violations
Damage to valleys and crevasses is prohibited
Pick up your moving soil deposits
Don't fracture low lands even though they want it
They are too young to understand your logic
Carry cleaning equipment with you on the climb
Don't be like glaciers crawling along one inch at a time
No one likes liter, debris and slippery things
Glacier bags were not invented yet for dirt and ice
My mountain likes to swim in oceans nude
A notice reads, “No Large Land Masses or Diving Naked”
It has no suit but jumps in any way
A tsunami soon to follow
No surprise when many people drown
Ranges move along at their own slow pace
When no one looks they reach the top
Peak above the world where clouds hang out
Where I read to them about the clumsy cliffs
Till they slip into a coma oblivious or into sleep
It would be ridiculous to tumble from a mountain wouldn't it
I tell them that would be like falling off themselves
Boulders are forbidden to fall according to the signage
They must have a permit to proceed off anything
And be older than themselves for obvious reasons
Accompanied by an adult as they can't read
Walking mountains is for their own protection
Safety first but what if they get lost
If they should, just look for land, with dirt around the edges
It would be that large thing over there
