Pause For a Moment...
a rather lovely thought just said hello to me
like a sailor returning from a long journey
it spoke of a whispering love near by
that could easily pause a setting sky
and like it came, it went away to a distant land
one that may just be an idea island of sand
and every once in a while those winds come again
but, unfortunately, I can never tell quite when
because it’s like an angle is dancing on piano keys
and for a moment I get to glance into the world it sees
where hands on clocks don’t move with the sky above
but instead tick to beating hearts that are draped in love
