Palace of Possibilities

PALACE OF POSSIBILITIES In the Palace of Possibilities, there are countless rooms. While young, we anticipate their exploration not recognizing the potential peril inherent in all. We keep the doors open and with one foot inside look around. What treasures will be found? We enter with abandonment excited by schemes and dreams that invade our very souls. The door locks but somewhere hidden a key exists within this sacred space. As time progresses we become captive to its charms and accept complacency. And in our solitude of thought, we stop looking. Underneath the shadow of the door, a light shines beckoning us to explore once more. Why, we ask, trade one known for something unknown? Life settles in and impulsive youth transfigures with age. To later rage against the race with time. C.A.K. 8-15-2012

we are all handed possibilities in life that we often think our keys are useles and when that ship has sailed than we look for the key lol, living in the moment, enjoyed your write ~Luv S.K.A.T.

Skat, thank you for your response. As one gets older and life choices become narrower, we tend to acclimate ourselves to the culture. Most people tend to be born and die in the same town. We become familiar with who we are in our environment and accept that style of living. Perhaps some people regret their choice but most feel comfortable with their place in life.

we simply need to find the key to unlock the chances we have in life - not all the things we face are positive but if we don't grab the opportunities we look back and can regret or we can simply get stuck in a rut:-( Hugs Jan xx

Jan, thanks for stopping by. Life is usually not "simply" finding the key. We are our beliefs and our DNA play into who we become. I believe it is the same with everyone. Take care and enjoy. Allan.
