Painless
slow it down, keep it steady, you don't need to rush.
i know this news is heavy but baby try to hush,
cause i have got to go,
I can't ignore anymore that we have lost our glow,
i can't believe we'll achieve what we seek when you speak but dont show,
don't break down and cry now,
stop saying you'll die now
and that we can still try, how?
my pride has been takin
stabbed with a stake and
now i'm finally awake,
to see what you have done to me
to cut your strings and set me free
as you're wanting an apology?
when all the wrongs been done to me?
let's make it quick and painless as we can,
i'm sure you'll find a more courageous man,
not scared of subtle torture or relinquishing his mind,
let's hope that he can take it you're games are never kind,
maybe you'll find a saint who'll help you change your evil ways,
and you'll only have the memories of your manipulative days,
may they always represent my deepest, darkest blacks and grays,
as we travel blindly forward into an ever-nearing grave
