Pain
Pain
filling me
so strong
I keel over
Tearing shattering
flooding my senses
wasting away more each day
tears streaming down my face
Weeping, wailing, teeth gnashing
I rend out my hair in clumps
if only I could tear out my heart
maybe then the pain would ease
Trembling, shaking, quivering
please make it stop
so nauseous as I heave
the pain far too much to bear
Lost bewildered confused
mind going insane
so terrible like losing a limb
the never ending pain lasts on
Melancholy weighs me down
so tired of fighting myself
if I could sleep I would
but the pain denies relief
Then a sign that you are here
just not seen, holding out a hand
leading me from dark despair
back into the light of hope
inspired by a poem I read today
