Opposites

Opposites attract I've heard it said A saying from way back yonder What draws us together no one knows It sure makes all of us ponder Sweeter than chocolate candy you are I'm a mean and cranky old codger We even cheer for two different teams The Yankees and the LA Dodgers Don't know how we ever hooked up Compatibility is not our thing Somehow when all the chips are down Our two hearts in unison sing Our musical tastes are sure not the same Mine's more cultured by choice I listen to Bach and Ludwig Beethoven You listen to Vanilla Ice But through it all, the pros and cons We've kept our flame aglow Way down deep under the surface Seeds of our true love still grow © Jack Ellison 2013

No matter what differences grow, love conqueres all... It is so powerful that it trespasses all barriers and different tastes... Your love must be a real and genuine one to be that strong. May you always be in a state of love with the person you love! My deepest respect to you, Sir!

"love conquers all!" It has been said many times but it is one of the great truths in the human experience. You write with such great eloquence and passion, my good friend! I am very fortunate to have your respect and your friendship!

I never pictured you as a listener of classical music... not sure why. I like it myself, but I'm a fan of almost every kind of music. But anyway... this is a good piece! My thoughts are if two people are so different from each other at least they always have something to "discuss"... haha...

I have a LARGE collection of all the classical composers. Gustav Mahler is up there as probably my favourite if I had to choose!

Sigh! Mike should write one like that for me. He's more of a basement Troll guy. I'm more of a cutsey dragon person... He's the instigator of the Kung Poo Master and Dogasaurus Rex poems... Of course, I'm more gentile! No dragon... I'm not talking to you, today! You called me dull and weird and kicked me out of bed this morning... I'm NOT fixing roast HUBBY for breakfast just so you'll have the whole bed each morning... Why Not, you say? He's my HUBBY! He's cuter than you are... Dumb Dragon!

"A cutesy dragon person" LOL I'll vouch for that... a bit loopy but a cutesy dragon person nevertheless! I look forward to your "interesting" troll and dragon episodes! Keep 'em comin' my dearest friend! xoxox
