Ten Thousand White Butterflies

Ten Thousand White Butterflies Soft walls undulate like liquid steel Metamorphic pulsations Iridescent glow Spiritual guides Ushering departed souls Rippling contractions From cocoon-like womb Bringing forth new breath Replenishing blown out candles Eyes scrunched Painful cry Drowned out by the rustling One thousand butterflies taking flight Soaring Luminescent Snowflake-like beings Spreading their light Within the night Eternity is born A baby raises his tiny fists Mother's tears turn to joy Floating heavenward on delicate wings Announcing Beating Singing A child is born Written with Monterey Sirak. Thankyou for letting me join you in flight!

Thanks Eileen, it feels surreal reading this one again. I was imagining the birth of Christ when we wrote this one. It all started with Monterey talking about this conservatory filled with white butterflys.

so so so fascinating with good mental expressions..... Splendid and adequate for a sound mind. This gave me more light to my soul and has stimulated a self- expression from me, serving as the fuel to my outburst.

Thank you for joining me on this venture. After writing this poem with you I am very eager to go see the white butterflies. Maybe I will stand in the midst of them and read our poem. You commented about the butterfly in Native American culture. Did you know the Cherokee word for butterfly is Kamama. Kind of fits doesn't it?

I like it. I live near a lake called Kalamalaka which means lake of many colors. They should call it butterfly lake.
