Just like a halo on horizon's edge
where sky of gold meets ridge of orange glow,
as though almighty God stands on that ledge
to shine his blessings on the fields below.
The wind-blown grass with cattails standing tall,
like arms raised high to praise His blazing love,
embrace the wonder of this golden sprawl
of dawn, that brings His gift from up above.
This splendor of each gleaming new-day birth
that spreads the beauty of its warmth and light;
the power of all life it brings to earth,
reflects the mastery of God's delight.
Let's raise our arms like cattails, high in air,
as though almighty God was standing there.
