Golden Pond

When the sun gently fades and falls from the sky golden beams caress and kiss the still, small pond. It is there where my memories of days long ago whisper that nothing remains long. In our youth we'd run into the morning sun we felt so wild and young through dew kissed leaves. Then we'd stop and laugh along the winding path 'neath tender, dappled forest trees. We would lie alone so far from home your body next to me... nothing else mattered sweet release. It was then that I realized there was only you your love filled me, all through the years even in the hard times you stayed beside me... ...all my life. Written on 5/24/2016

Thanks, Carrie. It is a very tricky tune to write to. I'm not sure I did it right, but thanks for the encouraging words...and good luck!
