Off the Scale
The older I get the more I think
Of my very last day here on earth
It's almost impossible not to think about it
I'm not obsessed by it
But when I hear of all these famous people
That I've known for a lifetime
Passing away at or around my age
It makes me stop and wonder
When my final day will arrive
Will I be ready for it, will I face it
With peace and contentment for a life well lived
I can't imagine it any other way
This life of mine on a scale of one to ten
Has been off the scale!!!
