The rain from the almost tropical depression brought to life the pale pink running rose for me to enjoy before that first frost..Sara
October's rose, October's rose High upon the trellis grows Silky petals in the rain pose October's rose, October's rose Withstands the wind, cloudy gray sky October's rose on trellis high

That special rose to withstand the vagaries of October. A memory of June's profusion. Lovely Sara, get busy and do the rest!!! PS> Gender doesn't usually matter in my poems, I can relate to either. Thanks for your visit.

Beautiful descriptions, my friend. We have just one red rose on top one trellis arch, and just one white left on top the other.

a lovely vision Sara and seems so beautiful and elegant standing alone on the trellis.. visual imagery is exciting in this piece ..wish it were the beginning of Summer rather than October though..oh..

You've started off a great poem Sara! And I do have to say if you find an October's rose here you are blessed! It's just too cold for roses to exist! I like the way you had rhymed every line together per stanza, it makes for a better flowing poem!! Awesome job!!

Where I live, October's rose could well be the last one of the year. Delightful depiction.
