I can't explain why and I don't think I need to but I just love reading this Sijo out loud. There is something very pleasing about it besides the images and emotional tie ins. Congratulations I am happy this made the list.

Hi Maurice, Thank you so much for your insightful evaluations. As with most of my poetry, I try to give them their own life, then send them off to find their way in the world. This is my first Sijo, so I nurtured it first with images. Later I clothed it in meter and word count and structure. I'm glad you liked it.
